$35.00 to $42.00 hourly (to be negotiated)

Additional Information

  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Work setting

  • Hospital/medical facility or clinic
  • Nursing home/home for the aged

Tasks

  • Administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects
  • Take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitore nutritional intake and conduct specimen collection
  • Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

  • CPR Certificate
  • Licensure as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse by provincial authorities
  • First Aid Certificate

Security and safety

  • Criminal record check
  • Immunization records
  • Tuberculosis test
