Planning your education as an Indigenous youth

Financial support

If you're an Inuit student in college or university, you can get financial help, and/or apply for financial assistance for your post-secondary studies. You can also get support with academics, guidance from Elders and access to other services. You can also take part in community activities like connecting with other students and celebrating alumni. In 2024 to 2025, events will happen in Northwest Territories, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Nunavut.

Programs

There are many educational programs for Indigenous youth, including the University and College Entrance Preparation Program for First Nations students pursuing post-secondary education.

• Apply for an Internship at the Canadian Museum of History
• Try out the IT Apprenticeship program in the Government of Canada
